About Maura

Psychotherapist, Author, Speaker

Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak whispers the o’er-fraught heart, and bids it break.
— William Shakespeare

With over fifteen years of clinical experience;

I have dedicated my career to helping people heal from heartbreak and navigate the stormy seas of complicated relationships.

Whether you are struggling with infidelity as either the monogamous one, non- monogamous one, or “other” in the triangle; are dealing with co-dependency and are trying to negotiate with a manipulative or abusive partner, going through a divorce or not sure if you want to stay married; you have an inner resource inside of you, which I call hope, that can anchor you through any relationship crisis and help you heal your whole being, from the inside out.

I believe there are two milestones that people need to experience in their lives in order to feel fulfilled. They are:

  1. Doing their best

  2. Following their hearts

While this may sound overly simplistic, it’s not always so easy. Life is messy. People are messy. And sometimes, they find themselves in dark psychological spaces and situations they never imagined they would find themselves in. If this sounds like you, you are not alone.

With an integrative approach to psychotherapy that includes: psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems, Sensory Motor and Somatic models (including yoga), I help my clients find their inner hope and get to the heart of their issues so they can:

  1. Get really curious and understand why they have made the choices they have made

  2. Utilize their inner hope, mindfulness and self compassion, in order to grieve past losses and heal their mind, body, and spirit

  3. Fearlessly search inside of themselves and identify what they most want

  4. Find their inner courage, so they can follow their hearts and make authentic choices

    If you are up for taking this journey inside of yourself and learn the tools and skills you need to do your best, and follow your heart, then I am hear to guide you and help you do just that.

I look forward to working with you !
